Ruben

Ruben is the owner of Beyond Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing and a tattoo artist and piercer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Drawn to music and the arts from an early age, Ruben began tattooing and piercing in New York, where he was surrounded by family members who were also tattoo artists. Immersed in that environment, he developed his skills quickly and has been dedicated to the craft ever since.

Known especially for his fine line work, Ruben has built a loyal and far-reaching clientele. Clients travel from across the country, and even internationally, including Australia, to be tattooed by him, often returning whenever they’re back in Florida.

His work spans a wide range of styles, including fine line, floral realism, micro realism, color, and detailed black and grey. He is also highly experienced in cover-up tattoos. Ruben is recognized for his focused, intentional approach—taking the time to truly listen and collaborate with each client to ensure every piece feels meaningful and is executed with precision.

While Ruben may come across as quiet and focused, he is highly attentive and always open to feedback, welcoming design changes, placement adjustments, and client input throughout the process.

His goal is simple: for every client to leave the shop feeling confident and proud of the artwork they carry.

Outside of the shop, Ruben enjoys spending time with his family and his three chihuahuas.
