Aftercare Instructions for Piercings
The following aftercare is intended as a general guide for healing your body piercing.

NON-Oral Piercings
NON-Oral Piercings
- Wash your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning or touching your piercing for any reason.
- Spray with sterile saline solution directly onto the piercing and let sit for thirty seconds.
- Gently clean any debris / crusties with a clean qtip.
- Spray with saline once more, and let sit on the piercing for thirty seconds.
- Allow saline to air dry or dry by gently patting with clean, disposable paper products (Cloth can harbor harmful bacteria and snag jewelry, causing injury/prolonged healing). Repeat twice a day.

ORAL Piercings
- Wash your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning or touching your piercing for any reason.
- Recommended aftercare cleaners include;
- Sterile Saline Solution (sold at Beyond Ink and most pharmacies) or Antiseptic Mouthwash (sold at most pharmacies).
- Rinse mouth with aftercare cleaner for 30 (thirty) seconds after every meal, or 3-4 times daily.
- Jewelry ends may loosen easier than other piercings. Periodically check the tightness of all pieces by holding both sides of your jewelry and turning the ball clockwise.
Average Healing Times for Piercings
Below is a chart of average healing times and suggested timeframe for "downsizing" jewelry by piercing. These are averages and do not account for delayed healing due to complications, issues, or improper care of piercings.
All piercings should wait the entire healing time before jewelry changes are attempted without a piercer.
